Special Events at the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce:
This annual event features a reception, year-in-review presentation, and dinner. Multiple awards are presented at this award including Citizen of the Year, Small and Large Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Ambassador of the Year, Jesse ‘Buz” Sawyer Award, Owen Sherrill Life Achievement Award, and the Martha Diaz Hurtado College Town Award.
The Georgetown Bridal Show provides you with an opportunity to showcase your business to local brides. The show features a fashion show, live music, and a honeymoon giveaway. A more intimate show that the large Austin shows, vendors like that they are able to have a brief conversation with brides rather than just handing them marketing materials.
The Chamber Golf Tournament provides an excellent opportunity to network while enjoying the course at the beautiful Cowan Creek Golf Club. Fees include green fees, cart fees, lunch/snacks, drinks, mulligan and toss plus contests. The 2022 Golf Tournament will take place September 30, 2022.
Quarterly Cornerstone Luncheon
Cornerstone Luncheons are held quarterly and are designed to bring a high-level speaker who will educate our members about the for cornerstones and how they shape Georgetown and the State of Texas. Each luncheon also includes the presentation of one of the four cornerstone awards. The four cornerstones are Economic Development, Education, Healthcare and Public Safety. Recurring Events at the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce:
Held monthly on the first Wednesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at varying locations. The Ambassador Committee meets monthly to discuss upcoming Chamber events & other Chamber updates, recognize the Ambassador of the month and network with each other. At some of the lunches, there is a brief presentation from the host location. Every lunch will feature two new members who will have a moment to talk about their businesses.
Business Network Lunch
Are you wanting to build your professional network? Join approximately 60-100 Chamber members at our Business Networking Lunch for networking as well as a brief update from the City of Georgetown and Georgetown ISD. This monthly luncheon, on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, allows Chamber members to introduce themselves and their business to all attendees and learn about other members’ businesses. Location varies month to month.
- New member of the Chamber? Members get 30 seconds to introduce themselves.
- Have a PSA? Members are able to announce their PSA. Reach out Chamber staff to get it on the agenda.
- Want to connect with another member? Bring a door prize to make a new connection!
Business Before Hours
Held the second Friday of each month from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Network with Chamber members while enjoying complimentary refreshments. Location varies each month. No RSVP needed. Free event.
Held the 3rd Tuesday of each month, Breakfast Links provides a community update on a topic of interest to the business community from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Pre-registration and online registration for this event are open until 3 p.m. the day before the event.
Business After Hours
Held the third Thursday of the month from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Network with other Chamber members while enjoying complimentary refreshments. Location varies. No RSVP needed. Free event.
Lunch & Learn Business Development Series
Lunch & Learn Development Seminars provide a classroom-type setting, and include speakers and topics that are of interest to the business community from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. every fourth Wednesday of the month. A continued discussion after the event will take place in the Chamber Board Room if you have any additional questions for the speaker.
Cross-town Social is a FREE event where local Chambers surrounding the Georgetown area and their members come together to network and build the local business community. No RSVP needed.
