Numerous Networking Opportunities – Our monthly Business Network Lunch (2nd Tuesday), Breakfast Links (3rd Tuesday), Business After Hours (3rd Thursday), and Lunch & Learn Business Seminars (4th Wednesday) offer the opportunity to introduce yourself and your business, and network with other members to make business contacts and socialize. Face2Face Networking gives attendees one-on-one networking time with other members.
Business Directory – Your membership provides you with a categorical listing in The Official Guide to Georgetown and Membership Directory, which are distributed to our membership, in our lobby, the Visitor Center, and local hotels. This directory is also mailed to potential new citizens and businesses upon request of a relocation packet. Advertising opportunities in this publication are only offered to our members.
Map – The Official Map of Georgetown and Williamson County is published by the Chamber every year. It is also part of our relocation packet, with advertising opportunities available.
Website – The Chamber’s website provides information and links to each of our members. Banner Ads and Logo Listings are optional advertising opportunities at very affordable rates.
Lobby Services – As a member of our Chamber, you are entitled to leave your business cards and company-related brochures on display in our lobby. The Chamber is often the first stop for visitors and new residents of Georgetown.
Ribbon Cutting – A ribbon cutting may be scheduled at your request, Monday thru Thursday at 12:15 pm or 5:15 pm. We will bring everything you need from the large scissors, ribbon, and camera, and notify all Ambassadors. Photos taken will be sent to you and posted in our newsletter and on our Facebook page.
Chamber Link Newsletter – We will provide you with a copy of our weekly e-newsletter to keep you informed of all Chamber news and events for the upcoming weeks, as well as members’ news and events.
Discount on Room Rentals – Meeting rooms are available to our members at reduced rates. The Board Room accommodates 15 people, and the Event Center accommodates between 168-200. Discounted rates are available for use up to four times per year per member.
Referrals – We are a member-oriented organization; therefore, we only refer our members. We get hundreds of inquiries from all over the country from people looking for a specific business or service.
Business Showcases – An annual business showcase gives our members the chance to promote their products and services to the public, as well as fellow Chamber members. Chamber members are also invited to GISD’s Community Showcase in August. Each of these venues attracts hundreds of potential customers for you.
Ambassador Program – This pro-active, networking arm of the Chamber participates in ribbon cuttings and groundbreakings, welcoming new members to our organization. They also recruit new members and meet for lunch on the 1st Wednesday of each month. This is a great opportunity to meet business owners that are new to Georgetown or just joining the Chamber.
Leadership Georgetown – Leadership Georgetown is a program that identifies and develops talented and committed citizens who aspire to provide leadership in Georgetown’s business and community activities. Only Chamber members may participate.
Legislative Issues – The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce is a proactive advocate for member businesses on issues affecting legislation and local economic development.
Mailing Labels – Our complete membership is available to you in three ways; hard copy, mailing labels, or on a disk. If it would be helpful, we can narrow the list down based on criteria such as business size, location, etc. Member cost is $25, non-members pay $220.
Member to Member Discounts – Chamber members may choose to offer discounts on their products and services to other Chamber members.
