Space Alliance Technology Outreach Program
Georgetown Chamber partners with SATOP providing free technical assistance to small businesses, start-ups and entrepreneurs in Texas.
The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce its partnership with the Space Alliance Technology Outreach Program (SATOP). This is a State of Texas-funded initiative administered by the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership and is dedicated to providing FREE technical assistance to Texas-based small businesses (under 500 employees), start-ups, and entrepreneurs across Texas. The goal is to create new jobs, new products for the market, capital investment, and facility expansion.
For inventors who require solutions such as material recommendations, assembly / production processes, structural analysis, and much more, SATOP offers up to 40 FREE hours of technical assistance from our volunteer engineers. This is made possible through our Alliance Partners that consist of the NASA Johnson Space Center, engineering firms, and educational institutions.
For inventors who require extensive technical assistance, SATOP’s partnership with multiple Texas based Universities, can submit viable projects for small businesses into an Engineering Capstone Design Program to receive design solutions and academic prototypes, at no cost to the small business. Your invention or product, regardless of which program applies to you, does not have to be high tech or space related in order to receive FREE technical assistance.
