Quarterly Professional Development Luncheon
Whether you are a manager, employee, or simply a woman who wants to become more involved—this group is for you. This program helps women build a strong network of businesswomen that they connect with personally and professionally. This new program has a quarterly professional development luncheon along with an informal, virtual networking event held monthly. One quarter, an ATHENA Leadership Award Program is held in place of the professional development luncheon.
This hybrid event (in-person and virtual) runs from 11-1. The first hour is structured networking. The second hour is a presentation on a topic of interest to women. Each attendee will receive a swag bag. An anticipated 50 women will attend in person.
Quarter 2 Luncheon: “Brand You” – May 13
1. Our reputations ARE our brands, and we can learn to be intentional and authentic in shaping them
2. Several exercises will help you think about what your brand invokes
3. How to apply insights from the world’s best brands to your personal brand
Speaker: Teri Lucie Thompson
Teri is the Co-Founder/ CMO of Knackstor. Teri leads marketing initiatives that foster and grow the Knackstor brand and community—including communications, partnerships, social media, and content. Teri is an author and co-founder of The Texas Women’s Summit.

Monthly Chamber Circles Meeting
In addition to this quarterly event, there is an informal monthly meeting on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 10-11 am. This is one of the Chamber Circles, small meetings dedicated to a theme. This free virtual meeting is typically attended by about 15 women.
Inaugural ATHENA Leadership Award Program & Luncheon (Q3 – Date TBD)
Annually, the Athena Leadership Award is presented to a woman honored for professional excellence, community service, and for actively assisting women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills. By honoring exceptional leaders, then Athena Leadership Awards Program seeks to inspire others to achieve excellence in their professional and personal lives.
